Good friend and macaroon tour

In September, we were lucky enough to have our good friend Julie stay with us and to be able to celebrate her birthday.  I won't say how old because I'm not sure she would want it revealed, but she surely is younger than me!  I tried to make her a very French dinner for her birthday that included confit de canard (duck) and an eclair birthday treat.

I took her to see the Albert Kahn gardens, it was raining but still delightful!

One of the most fun things we were able to do was go to a macaroon and chocolate tour.

Don't we look snazzy?

Even though this guy had his hairy bare arm immersed in the raspberry macaroon batter, it didn't deter us one bit from eating a few samples...and they were delicious!

We ate lunch in the Latin Quarter and then explored Luxembourg Gardens, Notre Dame, Concorde, Tuileries and Musee L'Orangerie

We stole this pose from our friends, the Currents...but it really is perfect for "All the Single Ladies..."
