Ashley and Parc Floral

My friend Ashley was moving so we decided she had to go to the Albert Kahn Parc before moving back to the states.  It was a lovely day and we will miss having Ashley here in Paris!

We also stopped at Roland Garros (where they play the French Open) to get some pictures and a souvenir hat.

Last week I also went to Parc Floral with Jen and her boys.  I don't know why I didn't take more pictures, I think I was just too hot to think normally!  The park is awesome, especially for kids.  There is a huge sandbox area, zip line, slides and a ropes course.  There are at least 5 playgrounds and they have ping pong.  If I were a kid, this would be my favorite park!

My cyber niece Eloise and other stuff

I am pretty certain that my niece Ellie Gray might be the cutest baby ever!  Erin sends me lots of pics so I feel lucky to see those cute cheeks often!

Upset after a rough Sunday at church..

This is how we talk every couple of days, sometimes she smiles at me but most of the time she just wonders who is this "Cyber Aunt?"

She turned the big 5 months on July 2nd.

On another note, Jeremy and I got totally french-fried a few Saturday ago.  We wanted to see Chateau de Courances so we hopped on the metro, got the train to a transfer, ate lunch and then hopped the next train to the stop, where we were to call a taxi.  When we got there, no one answered the taxi phone lines and the people in the town just pretty much laughed at us, so we looked around for a few minutes and caught the next train home.  We left at 11:30 and got back home around 3:30....french-fried!  This was the cute train stop.  Lucky for us, we were able to go back in a car a week later!

Monday, July 14th was Bastille Day.  Last year we fought the crowds and went to the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower, which we concluded was a "once in a lifetime" and not necessary to do again.  So instead, this year as we were getting ready for bed, we heard fireworks right outside our window..how convenient!

Back to babies...These little boys are growing up so fast!  Little Ethan and Owen enjoying summer on the porch swing with popsicles....as it should be!

Everyone tells me that Noah is the happiest baby in the world, Eloise remains skeptical of his cheerfulness I guess.

Ward Picnic in the Bois

The day after the youth party we had a ward picnic in Bois de Boulogne.  There weren't tons of people that showed up, but everyone that did had a fun time!  The missionaries were particularly excited to be wearing sports clothing and to play soccer!

Youth Summer Party!

Before everyone from church left for "Vacances" for July and August we wanted to have a summer party/BBQ at our house for the youth.  It ended up being so much fun and all of the youth were able to come.  We were grateful that the rain held off that night.  The YW leaders did such a great job planning all of the food and decorations.  I think everyone had a great time!

Some fun water games....
