Parc de Saint-Cloud

At the beginning of August, Jeremy and I wanted a close little day trip and ended up going to Parc de Saint-Cloud.  It is pretty close to our house, just across the Seine and down two little towns..about 1/2 hour away.  They claimed to have a lovely view of Paris and they didn't disappoint.  But, like every Lunt adventure in France, it wasn't all smooth sailing...

Here is the lovely little town of Saint-Cloud before getting to the park:

Here are lots of pictures of the inside of the park:

One of the nice views of Paris...can you spot the Eiffel tower?  The other large building is Montparnasse.

Jeremy and I sat on a bench in this part of the park for a long time and just talked, it reminded me of Pennsylvania.

And like every French park, there has to be something just a little weird....

After we explored one part of the park, we decided to go to the other big section but somehow got stuck walking uphill on the side of the road for a long, long time...it was hot!

Then we gave up and started to walk back down the path on the side of the road...

Then we had the bright idea to climb up to an overpass and hoist ourselves over the iron fence...hopefully, not falling to our death on the concrete road just beneath...

Aforementioned fence...

But since I'm writing about this, you can see we didn't actually fall to our death.  Instead, we looked for somewhere to eat and got to walk down this lovely path of trees.

Another lovely view of Paris from the top of a hill in the park.

After walking the entire park looking for a place to eat, we finally sat down at an outdoor restaurant and were attacked by bees..so where did these cool Americans end up....the mall, of course.  We love our mall at La Defense, with all 4,000 other people!
