Ok, the Cox visit continues....I wish I had been a little better at taking pictures, but there are at least some good ones here! On Sunday, Kerri and Michael got to experience Paris church (which is an adventure!) Kerri had a little medical thing and so we went to the pharmacy to get her something and she was thrilled beyond belief that they gave her a natural homeopathic solution. After church we walked to Notre Dame and all around the Marais. It was a lovely day!!!
The next day we went to Montemartre and Sacre Coeur and the Kerri and Michael walked the Tuileries and took pics in front of the Louvre. They ate at a french cafe that evening and were "french-fried" into buying expensive silhouettes of each other.
One of Kerri and Michael's favorite things they saw was Parc Bagatelle, which is a lovely park a few blocks away from our house. It is a hidden gem without tourists and with peacocks.
On Tuesday, I took them to Versailles. Since I have been quite a few times, I just dropped them off and let them explore the grounds. By the time we got there it was a little late, so I convinced them to skip the Chateau and just go to the grounds (which I realize some may see as sac-religious, but they were just fine with it!)
Wednesday was one of Kerri's favorite days - shopping day! I planned on taking her many more stores, but she is a true shopper and we only went about three blocks in the day. Here is Michael with some of the loot they took back to America:
Thursday we celebrated my birthday by going to this little Italian restaurant in Levallois. We took a cab to downtown and rode on the Bateaux Mouches for their last evening before they were leaving.
I just can't fight the Parisian air sometimes...ugh!
Token Ellie picture!
The many faces of Jeremy while we shop...
We went to brunch at the adorable LaDuree and had the most incredible chocolat chaud (hot chocolate!)
Adorable little tea cups for our hot chocolate...
We found this adorable macaron shop with mini-macarons...I could have died, they were adorable!
Saint Sulpice (where some of the DaVinci Code took place)
On our way to Pont Neuf...a must see for Michael AKA Jason Bourne
We went to Luxembourg Gardens, but it started to rain and we headed to the Latin Quarter for some gelato instead of staying outside!
This was Michael's favorite thing to do every morning: Get up and take a stroll to the corner market and boulangerie for his pain au chocolat and Red Bull (Michael's cure for jet lag!) We were sad to see them go, but so so happy they came and fell in love with Paris...it's easy to do!
