Cox Visit - Part 1 - Chantilly and Senlis

I was so freaking excited to have Kerri and Michael come visit us in Paris!  Jeremy and I prepped for a month hoping we could have everything perfect...the only thing we couldn't control was the weather.  I made them an itinerary and the first day was the Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees.  We saw it all, even though it did rain.  They went to the top and it may not have been the most romantic visit to the top of the Eiffel Tower but they were troopers.  Kerri wore some not-so-optimal shoes the first day and then gave in to tennis shoes the rest of the time...it happens to the best of us!

The next day we rented a car and went to Chateau de Chantilly.  Jeremy and I had been there before with Therese, but it was much, much warmer this time and we were able to walk the grounds.  It is a beautiful chateau and the grounds were also lovely!

Kerri's shout-out to Nana's photographing skills...

Sheeps may safely graze and pasture...

Kerri and Michael loved our house...until they realized that this place on the grounds was a hotel/spa.  You can't compete with a spa on the grounds of a castle, especially with Kerri!

My favorite picture of the day...Apollo's Temple of Love

We had lunch in the basement of the Chateau and enjoyed authentic Chantilly creme, which was a very typical three hour event.  We loved every minute of it though.  After, we drove to a little town called Senlis and did a little exploring.  It was an adorable medieval village and even had a carnival right outside the center of the city.  It was fun to be able to show them what a lot of the old towns in France look like, without having to go very far.

Knock knock...

This is what happens pretty much every time I ask Jeremy to take a picture...

Before Eloise was born, I bought this cute little outfit here in Paris...she is now big enough to wear it and looks adorable, as predicted!

  1. Oh my goodness! I'm crying - I wish we were still there! Thank you so much for memorializing our trip - I wish I could put this whole blog in a photobook!
